Still, it is beefy and has a great "tag" system that even I am jealous of. Some feel this gives them more power, but it is written in a uncommon language as well. I can't speak much on awesome, but from what I have read it is similar to polybar in the way that it has a massive and complicated config. Also creating macros was just a little weird for me, and you had no default tiling pattern, meaning you have to consciously change from vertical to horizontal, while with bspwm it has 2 default patterns (spiral and split) as well as the option to chose placement. When I installed i3 I couldn't stand how I had to remove components before customizing it.

i3 might be going down in popularity on this sub just because it is getting more bloated. It also uses an external program for keyboard shortcuts which is pretty nice - it makes it pretty powerful. I hope the answers above satisfy your original question.

Using written documentation (such as wiki pages found on github or the Arch website) also allows new users to develop problem solving skills as the written documentation ~~always~~ generally comes from the horses mouth (Implying the most current, broad, and accurate information for the software they are trying to learn). For new users specifically, learning to read documentation ***correctly*** (As this is easier said than done) is a skill that can be generalized to an array of other areas.

It's just a repository full of useful information. The Arch wiki in of itself is not complicated by any means. The Arch wiki is just a tool in one's tool-belt to learn the Linux and all that it offers. >Isn't Arch wiki a little bit complicated for new users? I'll try to answer your question more directly. If you come so far you surely know how to code an what kind of setup will be complete without theming our Code\_Editorm, everyone can install a VS\_Code Extension for theming but if you want to have a 'complete Linux PC Master Race setup' and show everyone else how big you., you need config/extend a nice Code Editor BTW There are more like Elisa, Juk, etc but none of them will be so fun as ***NCMPCPP*** (I know i beign a litte partial in my suggestions but thesse are more extra programs to spice the setup) Is Just neccesary have a Music Player and the only choose is: * Rofi one of the most configurable Application Launcer * dmenu for compllete the holy trinity of dwm * Similar to WM there is a lot of the just have fun googling and trying each one * PolyBar (My Favorite) use a config dotfile easy to use and configurate * Fish will give an almost ready to use experienceīeyond here are not '***Must Have***' Features but there are also neseary to have a nice and beautifull setup * Zsh with oh-my-zsh gives you a nice an extensible experience * there are may other and in my oppinion is like choosing your favorite ice cream flavour * st (Simple Terminal) is very minimalistic * and there are a lot more depending if you want Tiling or Dinamic Window Manager (I can't mention everyone of them) * Xmonad (My personal Favorite) uses Haskell Here the thing gets spicy depending in my oppinion by your favorite programming language * Wayland is the most newer and "Secure" display server buy some Window Managers are incompatible or have por to be compatiblesĮach one of them have their own pros and cons but my recomendation is Xorg * Xorg is the most old and compatible but have some security fawls Well if you're starting first try with a DE (Desktop Enviroment) like *KDE* or GNOME (I suggest KDE plasma) it will become with the complete toolkit for having a minimal working desktop once you feel comfortable with the terminal the fun part begin:
